HOW IT WORKS

The Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard® “allows” parents and teens the opportunity to discuss money. Some of the most challenging conversations between parents and their teens are about money. It is so important, however, that we teach our young adults about money. The Allow Card program provides the tools to begin this conversation.

1. Sign Up: You must be a parent, guardian or mentor to enroll a teenager in the program.

There is no credit check necessary for you to order an Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard® for your teen. You are the account holder and your teen is the cardholder. We do, however, collect some information about you and your teen for an Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard. We obtain this information in compliance with the USA PATRIOT ACT * which is a federal law that requires all financial institutions to verify and record data that identifies each person that opens an account.

2. Verify Bank Account or Credit/Debit Card:

When you load funds to the Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard from your checking account, we will debit two small transactions from your Allow Card. Allow Card will then ask you to view your bank account online or contact your bank directly to determine those two random amounts. Once this step is completed, your account will be verified and you can proceed to load the Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard and/or order additional Allow Card Prepaid MasterCards.

3. Activate the Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard:

Your Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard will arrive in about 10 days. When you receive your Allow Card, you or your teen can activate the card by going to the Allow Card website or by contacting us at 1-877-495-8070 (M-F, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm)

4. Use the Allow Card Prepaid MasterCard Program:

You and your teen can use the Allow Card program in many ways such as; check your balance, track spending habits, loading and transferring funds,, set up custom alerts such as text messages, email notifications and parental controls. You can then begin to teach your teen how to develop their money management skills.
